Select appropriate paint or mix paints using automated paint mixing equipment. Operate hand-held spray guns or other mechanized painting or product coating equipment. Paint small items or apply touch-ups using paint brushes. Operate and use related equipment and tools, including forklifts, hoists, slings, grinders (portable & bench), hand tools, and a tape measure. Keep equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacturers' instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, calling for repairs, and completing the daily check sheets. Read, understand, and follow job order specifications, blueprints, work instructions, and procedures.
