Helpers (includes helpers 0 months- helper 42 months) - Preferred minimum of 6 months documented field experience in chosen craft discipline. Must have the ability to read and interpret instructions and documentation. The level and degree of job responsibilities and requirements vary depending on months of experience and assigned job step. SUMMARY
Paint walls, equipment, buildings, bridges, and other structural surfaces, using brushes, rollers, and spray guns. May remove old paint to prepare surface prior to painting. May mix colors or oils to obtain desired color or consistency. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Cover surfaces with drop cloths or masking tape and paper to protect surfaces during painting.
- Selects and mixes coating additives to thin or promote drying and adhesion.
- Fill cracks, holes, and joints with caulk, putty, plaster, or other fillers, using caulking guns or putty knives.
