Job Overview: We are currently seeking a skilled Painter/Power Tooler to join our team on a temporary, full-time basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of painting and power tooling tasks in support of our ship repair and maintenance projects. Key Responsibilities: - Prepare surfaces for painting by sanding, scraping, and cleaning as needed - Apply paint and coatings using various techniques and equipment, such as brushes, rollers, and spray guns - Operate power tools, such as grinders and sanders, to remove paint and rust from surfaces - Follow safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment at all times - Maintain a clean and organized work area - Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors - Adhere to project schedules and deadlines Qualifications: - Previous experience as a Painter/Power Tooler in an industrial or commercial setting - Knowledge of different types of paints, coatings, and application methods - Familiarity with various power tools and their safe operation - Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications - Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work - Excellent time-management skills and the ability to work efficiently under pressure - Must be able to work in a physically demanding environment, including confined spaces and heights - Must be able to pass a drug test and background check We offer competitive pay and benefits, as well as opportunities for career growth and advancement.
