Palantir Technical Lead (Foundry / Gotham)

Experience Required

• 10–12 years of overall software, data, or platform engineering experience
• 4–6+ years of hands-on experience with Palantir Foundry and/or Gotham
• 2–4 years in a technical leadership or lead developer role
• Role Summary
• The Palantir Technical Lead owns technical delivery and day-to-day execution of Palantir-based solutions. This role combines deep hands-on development with team leadership, ensuring scalable, secure, and high-quality implementations aligned with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Technical Leadership & Delivery
• Lead end-to-end technical delivery of Palantir solutions using Foundry/Gotham
• Own design and implementation across data ingestion, transformation, ontology, and applications
• Make technical decisions, resolve complex issues, and manage technical risks
• Hands-On Development
• Design and build data pipelines, transforms, and operational workflows
• Implement and govern ontology models , object relationships, and actions
• Develop applications and dashboards using Foundry tools (Workshop, Slate, Contour, Quiver, etc.)
• Write and review Python, SQL, and Spark code
• Team Leadership & Mentorship
• Lead and mentor Palantir developers and data engineers
• Conduct code reviews and enforce development standards and best practices
• Support onboarding and skills development for team members
• Stakeholder Collaboration
• Partner with architects, product owners, and business stakeholders
• Translate requirements into technical designs and delivery plans
• Communicate status, risks, and dependencies effectively
• Quality, Security & Governance
• Ensure solutions meet performance, security, and governance requirements
• Implement access controls, data lineage, and monitoring
• Support CI/CD, testing, releases, and production support
• Required Skills & Qualifications
• Palantir Platform Expertise
• Strong hands-on experience with Palantir Foundry and/or Gotham
• Proven ability to deliver production-grade Palantir solutions
• Deep understanding of ontology-driven design and operational workflows

Technical Skills

• Expert-level proficiency in Python and SQL
• Strong experience with Spark / distributed data processing
• Solid understanding of data engineering and system integration
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP )
• Leadership & Communication
• Demonstrated experience leading technical teams
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly
• Preferred Qualifications
• Palantir certification(s)
• Experience in regulated or mission-critical domains (finance, healthcare, government, defense)
• Agile / Scrum experience
• Exposure to analytics, data science, or MLOps in Palantir

Education

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
