The Position
A fantastic opportunity is available for a Consultant in Palliative Care Medicine to join a rapidly developing service undergoing significant growth and modernisation. Guided by a newly appointed senior leader, the service is embracing a contemporary, patient-centred model of care. You will provide specialist inpatient, community and consultative Palliative Care, working closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated, high-quality support across hospital, community and hospice settings. The role includes contributing to service planning, supporting education and workforce development, participating in the on-call roster and strengthening partnerships with regional providers. This position suits a specialist passionate about holistic palliative care, service improvement and delivering equitable healthcare in regional communities.

Essential criteria
- MBBS or equivalent, with current registration (or eligibility for registration) with AHPRA.
- For Staff Specialist roles: Fellowship of the Australian Chapter of Palliative Medicine, RACP (FAChPM) or equivalent, with eligibility for Specialist registration.
- For Senior Medical Officer roles: Fellowship of RACGP or ACRRM with extensive experience in Palliative Care (Clinical Diploma highly regarded).
- Demonstrated expertise in Palliative Medicine across inpatient, community and consultative settings.
