Paraeducator in Berkeley, CA

A K-12 paraprofessional position is available to support both Special Education (SPED) and General Education (Gen Ed) students in a school setting. This contract role is located in Berkeley, CA, with some duties associated in San Rafael, CA. The assignment runs from as soon as possible through June 10, offering approximately 24 hours per week. Daily hours are from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., which includes a 30-minute unpaid lunch break.

Qualified candidates will have experience working as a paraprofessional, supporting diverse student needs, including those with disabilities. Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is preferred, as is familiarity with American Sign Language (ASL) coursework and experience supporting students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing (DHH). The role includes collaborating closely with an in-person paraprofessional who currently assists remote DHH teachers, ensuring seamless coordination of student services. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.
