Join Our Team as a Paralegal Coordinator at Equivity!
Equivity is seeking a proactive, highly organized Paralegal Coordinator to support leadership within our Paralegal Department. This dynamic role is ideal for someone who enjoys wearing multiple hats, coordinating teams, and supporting day-to-day operations. You will help onboard, train, and support paralegals, assist with workflow coordination and internal initiatives, and play a key role in improving service delivery, team performance, and the overall success of the department.
What You’ll Do
- Provide administrative and operational support to Paralegal Department management.
- Assist with oversight and coordination of paralegal teams, including communication, task tracking, and follow-up.
- Support onboarding and training of new paralegal team members, including coordination of training materials, schedules, and initial support.
- Assist with recruiting efforts, including candidate coordination, scheduling, and administrative support during the hiring process.
- Assist with conducting conflict checks and related documentation and follow-up.
- Help monitor case workflows, deadlines, and ongoing projects to ensure timely and accurate completion.
- Serve as a point of contact for internal team communication, helping relay instructions, updates, and expectations.
- Support supervision efforts by helping track performance, workloads, and account needs.
- Utilize legal and productivity software to assist with documentation, reporting, and workflow management.
- Identify issues proactively and take initiative to help resolve them or escalate appropriately.
- Manage multiple priorities simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- At least 1 year of experience working in a law firm or legal setting, such as a paralegal, legal assistant, or similar role.
- Strong comfort with technology and software, including Microsoft Word, Adobe, Canva, and legal platforms such as Clio, Lawmatics, and other case management tools.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects at once.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to support, guide, and supervise teams in a professional and collaborative manner.
- Demonstrated initiative and problem-solving ability.
- Solid understanding of case management principles and legal workflows.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
A Plus
- Experience assisting with onboarding, training, or mentoring new legal team members.
- Experience supporting recruiting or hiring processes.
- Experience with conflict checks or compliance-related workflows.
- Previous experience in a coordination, lead, or supervisory role within a legal environment.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, remote, and service-oriented organization.
