Overview

The Part Time Benefits Assistant will assist the Benefits Department with the day-to-day administration of health and welfare benefits, 401(k) and pension. 

Responsibilities

  • Assists with administering the Company’s health and welfare, 401(k) and pension plans. Answers questions and resolves problems as needed
  • Tracks health and welfare and benefit enrollments of newly eligible employees
  • Assists with the COBRA administration
  • Assists with monitoring retiree death audits; updates records and notifies TPAs as necessary.
  • Researches missing participants for the retirement savings and pension plans. Conducts addresses searches as needed.
  • Creates and coordinates distribution of required communications regarding health and welfare and 401(k) plans.
  • Backs up the Human Resources Assistant with payroll processing and other daily responsibilities
