Minimum Requirements

  • Associate degree in Air Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Technology or a closely related field; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and professional experience.
  • Five years of recent, relevant work experience in HVACR installation, service, maintenance, troubleshooting, or related industry areas.
  • Industry-recognized certifications such as EPA Section 608, NATE, or equivalent (or the ability to obtain required credentials within one year of hire).
  • Demonstrated proficiency with HVACR tools, equipment, refrigerant handling, diagnostic technology, and safety practices.
  • Ability to plan and deliver effective hands-on instruction in both classroom and lab settings.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage, instruct, and support students.
  • Ability to maintain accurate documentation, records, and reports in accordance with college requirements.
