Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join a specialist education setting in Bournemouth, working part time with young people aged 16–25 who have a range of complex Special Educational Needs.
This provision supports learners with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC), and attachment and trauma-related difficulties. Many learners have experienced disrupted education and benefit from a highly structured, nurturing, and relational approach that supports both personal development and academic progress.
The Role:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and pastoral staff to support learners aged 16–25 both academically and emotionally. You will help create a safe, consistent environment where young people feel understood, supported, and able to re-engage with learning and life skills development.
