What you will do:
Toggling multiple systems & applications
Remote patient registration
Census Reconciliation- Hospital vs. Patient registration data
Patient Identification/Demographic updates
Insurance verification, mapping correct plan codes to insurance types
Hold codes- Identify and Hold encounters pending follow up
Resolving Unbilled encounters
Electronic communications- Provider, Medical Record request
Attend team daily huddles; to received and provide process report performance outcomes
Performance/Productivity- Daily/Weekly huddles MS Teams
What you will need:
High School Diploma/GED or 3 years of relevant equivalent in lieu of diploma/GED
0-2+ years relevant experience in healthcare with knowledge of the following; billing and collections, medical insurance claims procedures and documentation, patient care charts and histories, patient registration procedures and documentation.
What would be nice to have:
Familiar with Insurance payer portal
Realtime Insurance eligibility verifications
Knowledge of Health Insurance plans, HMO, PPO, Manage Care and replace plan coverage.
