Overview

We are seeking a patient-focused, highly communicative Patient Billing & Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our healthcare billing team. This role is primarily responsible for answering incoming patient phone calls and assisting patients with understanding and paying their medical bills. Exceptional phone presence, clear communication, and a calm, compassionate approach are essential for success.

Responsibilities

• Answer a high volume of incoming patient phone calls in a professional and courteous manner
• Clearly explain medical bills, balances, insurance adjustments, and patient financial responsibility
• Assist patients with payments, payment plans, and general billing inquiries
• De-escalate patient concerns with empathy, patience, and professionalism
• Accurately document all calls, interactions, and resolutions in the billing system
