Description
Answer phones and take orders by fax mainly to assist patients, physicians & referral sources in an office setting Answer claims questions, process orders, maintain & update patient information in the computer system, verify insurance, bill for patient services. Wait on customers as they come in the retail site.
Duties:
• Receiving orders by phone or fax and assists patients concerning home medical equipment and billing
• Records accurate and complete patient information
• Verifies insurance information, obtain necessary authorizations. (Medicaid plans a lot and Medicare, BCBS, Blue Care Network, United Healthcare). also work with the VA!
• Processes orders in computer system
• Secures dispensing prescription for home medical equipment services
• Demonstrates awareness of the importance of referral source relationships.
• Hours - 8:30 - 5pm and 8:30 - 430pm on Friday's.
