Payroll and Benefits Leader – Activate Games

Activate is a technology company building interactive gaming facilities with locations across Canada and the US, known for Canada’s first full‑scale interactive gaming facility. The Payroll and Benefits Leader reports to the Director of Finance and will oversee payroll and benefits administration for Activate’s Canadian and U.S. operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the payroll team and oversee daily workflow, ensuring effective delivery of services and quality of all deliverables.
  • Manage performance and staff by providing coaching and feedback; track training and evaluations.
  • Collaborate with HR and Finance to align benefits, compensation, and reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, provincial/state, and local payroll regulations; stay informed on Canadian and U.S. legislation, tax regulations, and emerging practices.
