Job Description
In the position of Payroll Assistant, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the payroll processing for the assigned business units. More precisely, you will have to :
- Perform all operational and administrative tasks required for payroll processing;
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, construction collective agreements, and the employee handbook;
- Enter and validate data, ensuring accuracy of calculations related to personnel movements (promotions, transfers, assignments, terminations, leaves);
- Monitor and process payroll-related workplace accident files;
- Prepare and submit tax filings and reports to government authorities and regulatory bodies;
- Generate and verify Records of Employment;
- Reconcile monthly reports and process remittances (vacation pay, group insurance, RRSP contributions);
