Role Overview
Role Name: Assistant Payroll Manager
Reporting to: Lead – C&B
Key Responsibilities
- Process monthly payroll accurately and on time for all employees
- Maintain employee payroll records, attendance, leave, OT, incentives, and deductions
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements such as PF, ESI, PT, LWF, Income Tax, and other applicable laws
- Coordinate with Finance for payroll accounting, provisions, and reconciliations
- Manage payroll inputs including new hires, exits, salary revisions, arrears, and final settlements
- Handle payroll audits (internal/external) and provide required data
- Generate and share payslips, Form 16, and other payroll-related reports
- Coordinate with payroll vendors / HRMS providers
- Ensure data accuracy and confidentiality
Key Qualifications:
- 5–12 years of experience in payroll processing
- Strong knowledge of Indian payroll statutory and labour laws
- Highly Proficient in MS Excel
