Job Summary
The Payroll Executive is responsible for managing end-to-end payroll processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely disbursement of employee salaries. This role requires strong attention to detail, knowledge of statutory regulations, and the ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
Key Responsibilities
Payroll Processing
- Prepare, verify, and process monthly payroll for all employees.
- Ensure accuracy in salary calculations, deductions, reimbursements, and incentives.
- Maintain payroll records and employee data in HRMS/ERP systems.
Compliance & Statutory Requirements
- Handle Provident Fund (PF), Employee State Insurance (ESI), Professional Tax (PT), and Income Tax deductions.
- File statutory returns and ensure compliance with labor laws and government regulations.
- Coordinate with auditors and government authorities during inspections.
Employee Support
- Address payroll-related queries from employees.
- Provide payslips, Form 16, and other payroll documents as required.
Reporting & Documentation
- Generate payroll MIS reports for management.
- Maintain confidentiality of employee compensation data.
- Support finance team in reconciliation of payroll accounts.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance, or HR (MBA/PGDM preferred).
- 2–4 years of experience in payroll processing and statutory compliance.
- Strong knowledge of PF, ESI, PT, TDS, and other payroll-related laws.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and payroll software ( Zoho).
- Excellent numerical accuracy, analytical skills, and attention to detail.
