Job Description

Responsibilities:


  • Process full-cycle payroll accurately and on time for salaried and hourly employees

  • Maintain and update employee payroll records, including new hires, terminations, and compensation changes

  • Ensure compliance with federal, provincial/state, and local payroll legislation and tax requirements

  • Calculate and reconcile payroll deductions, benefits, bonuses, commissions, and overtime

  • Prepare and submit statutory remittances (CPP, EI, income tax, garnishments, etc.)

  • Respond to payroll-related inquiries from employees and management in a timely manner

  • Reconcile payroll reports and resolve discrepancies prior to payroll approval

  • Prepare year-end payroll activities including T4s, ROEs, and other regulatory filings
