Payroll Specialist
Function: Global Shared Services (GSS)
Location: Mumbai | Work Mode: Hybrid
Shift: 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM

Role Overview
The Payroll Specialist is responsible for accurate, timely, and compliant end-to-end payroll processing for assigned countries. This role partners with Payroll Vendors, HR, and Finance teams to deliver high-quality payroll services and an excellent employee experience.
Key Responsibilities
Manage end-to-end payroll processing for supported markets in line with payroll calendars
Ensure accurate data entry, validation of gross-to-net results, and final payroll approvals
Coordinate payroll closure activities including GL postings, treasury funding, payslips, and statutory filings
Deliver payroll services aligned to SLAs, KPIs, and compliance standards
Provide Level-2 payroll support and manage escalations with vendors and stakeholders
Mitigate payroll risks related to SOX, data privacy, and security controls
Prepare payroll reports, dashboards, reconciliations, tax updates, and year-end activities
Support audits, testing, and ad-hoc reporting requirements
Maintain payroll documentation and support training and business continuity
Drive continuous improvement, automation, and standardization initiatives
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor’s degree
3–5 years of payroll experience (multi-country exposure preferred)
Experience with payroll systems such as Workday or ADP preferred
Strong stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills
Excellent attention to detail, prioritization, and multitasking abilities
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, global environment
