Essential Job Functions


  • Supervise and direct payroll staff of two to process bi-weekly paychecks for all employees.

  • Ensure the processing of new hires, transfers, promotions, terminations, etc. is accurate and timely.

  • Perform the final payroll audit on all domestic bi-weekly payrolls.

  • Process the bi-weekly Canadian payroll.

  • Ensure that the Crane Companies maintain payroll tax compliance.

  • Research and resolve routine tax notices received from agencies.

  • Review and analyze current payroll and tax procedures to recommend process improvements.

  • Create and disperse audit reports as requested by management.

  • Perform frequent audits to ensure employees are being taxed and paid accurately.

  • Lead and assist with large-scale projects and implementations of new processes and procedures.
