Role Overview:

As the P&C Director, you will play a critical leadership role in managing the full spectrum of Property & Casualty operations. You will oversee technical underwriting, claims, team development, strategic planning, and client portfolio management. The job title and scope will be tailored based on the experience and seniority of the selected candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Excellence & Strategic Support

•Identify and implement improvements in systems, workflows, and reporting processes to increase operational efficiency.

• Lead and enhance support services coordination across departments.

• Participate in long-term strategic planning and execution of new local and regional initiatives.

• Prepare and present business updates to senior management and the Board.

Team Leadership & Market Expertise

• Lead, train, and develop a high-performing P&C team.

• Stay informed on insurance market trends, products, and developments across the region.

Technical Proficiency

• Provide end-to-end technical support: underwriting, technical slips, market analysis, claims handling.

• Lead negotiations with insurers and reinsurers to achieve optimal client outcomes.

• Manage complex claims and risk assessment procedures.

Account Management & Client Retention

• Ensure high levels of client satisfaction and strong relationships with corporate clients.

• Oversee account portfolios and develop cross-selling and up-selling strategies.

• Serve as the liaison between account managers and insurance/reinsurance providers.

• Support international operations and partnerships when needed.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Proven experience in insurance and reinsurance, particularly within Property & Casualty lines.

• Solid background in regional insurance markets (Lebanon and/or MENA).

• Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills.

• Excellent technical knowledge in underwriting, claims, and client negotiations.

• Strategic mindset with the ability to lead operational improvements.

• Outstanding communication and relationship-building skills.

• Fluency in English is essential; Arabic and/or French is a strong asset.

• Willingness to travel for regional and international projects.
