Position:

PCB & Hardware Design Engineer – Power Electronics

Location: Connaught Place, New Delhi

Job Type: Full-time | On-site


Key Responsibilities

As a PCB & Hardware Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, testing, and optimizing advanced power and control PCBs used in our IoT and embedded product lines.

  • Design multi-layer PCBs for high-performance and power electronic systems using Altium Designer or equivalent tools.

  • Develop and validate analog, digital, and power circuits (>400V, >50A) ensuring safety, efficiency, and reliability.

  • Perform schematic design , signal & power integrity (SI/PI) analysis, and thermal management to minimize noise, EMI/EMC, and ripple issues.

  • Collaborate with R&D, Mechanical, and Production teams to ensure manufacturability and design accuracy.

  • Conduct DRC, DFM, and DFT reviews .

  • Generate complete manufacturing documentation (Gerber files, BOMs, assembly drawings, stack-ups).

  • Maintain accurate and updated PCB component libraries , including footprints and 3D models.

  • Support prototype testing, troubleshooting , and smooth transition to mass production .


Required Skills & Qualifications

  • B.E./B.Tech in Electronics or Electrical Engineering (or related discipline).

  • 3+ years of experience in PCB design and hardware development, including at least 1 year in Power Electronics (EV chargers, motor drives, inverters, or power supplies).

  • Proficiency in Altium Designer or similar PCB design tools.

  • Strong understanding of high-voltage / high-current PCB design , transformer/inductor placement, and power plane optimization.

  • Familiarity with communication protocols: SPI, I2C, UART, RS-485, CAN .

  • Knowledge of IPC standards (IPC-2221, IPC-A-600, etc.) and EMC/EMI design principles .

  • Hands-on experience in circuit testing, debugging, and validation .

  • Strong problem-solving, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.


Preferred Qualifications (Bonus Points)

  • Experience with Battery Management Systems (BMS) or Vehicle Control Units (VCU) .

  • Exposure to automotive or industrial electronics standards .

  • Familiarity with simulation tools for thermal, SI, and PI analysis.
