Position:
PCB & Hardware Design Engineer β Power Electronics
Key Responsibilities
As a PCB & Hardware Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, testing, and optimizing advanced power and control PCBs used in our IoT and embedded product lines.
Design multi-layer PCBs for high-performance and power electronic systems using Altium Designer or equivalent tools.
Develop and validate analog, digital, and power circuits (>400V, >50A) ensuring safety, efficiency, and reliability.
Perform schematic design, signal & power integrity (SI/PI) analysis, and thermal management to minimize noise, EMI/EMC, and ripple issues.
Collaborate with R&D, Mechanical, and Production teams to ensure manufacturability and design accuracy.
Conduct DRC, DFM, and DFT reviews.
Generate complete manufacturing documentation (Gerber files, BOMs, assembly drawings, stack-ups).
Maintain accurate and updated PCB component libraries, including footprints and 3D models.
Support prototype testing, troubleshooting, and smooth transition to mass production.
Required Skills & Qualifications
B.E./B.Tech in Electronics or Electrical Engineering (or related discipline).
3+ years of experience in PCB design and hardware development, including at least 1 year in Power Electronics (EV chargers, motor drives, inverters, or power supplies).
Proficiency in Altium Designer or similar PCB design tools.
Strong understanding of high-voltage / high-current PCB design, transformer/inductor placement, and power plane optimization.
Familiarity with communication protocols: SPI, I2C, UART, RS-485, CAN.
Knowledge of IPC standards (IPC-2221, IPC-A-600, etc.) and EMC/EMI design principles.
Hands-on experience in circuit testing, debugging, and validation.
Strong problem-solving, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications (Bonus Points)
Experience with Battery Management Systems (BMS) or Vehicle Control Units (VCU).
Exposure to automotive or industrial electronics standards.
Familiarity with simulation tools for thermal, SI, and PI analysis.
