Job Description
Provide advanced nursing care within a dynamic Progressive Care Unit (PCU) setting on the 5th Floor of a leading medical center in Arvada, CO. This contract position offers the opportunity to contribute to patient recovery in a well-equipped, supportive environment focused on cardiopulmonary and medical-surgical care. The unit features 38 beds with a dedicated team of 73 staff members, providing comprehensive support across day and night shifts.

Responsibilities
- Deliver specialized nursing care for patients requiring cardiac monitoring and post-surgical recovery, including cardiac drips and management of cardiac catheterization patients.
- Utilize advanced equipment such as lifts, dynamap devices, and cardiac monitoring technology to ensure patient safety and accurate assessments.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide coordinated, patient-centered care.
- Maintain meticulous documentation in the Meditech EMR system.
- Adhere to unit guidelines and maintain a positive, team-oriented attitude to foster a supportive work environment.
Qualifications & Desired Experience
- Current RN licensure with experience in step-down or progressive care nursing.
- Required certifications: ACLS and BLS; NIH certification preferred.
- Preferred cardiac nursing experience, including familiarity with cardiac drips, post-VATS care, and cardiac catheterization patients.
- Strong teamwork skills and a positive, proactive approach to patient care.
Schedule / Hours
- Night Shift: 7:00 PM 7:00 AM
