This contract opportunity is for an experienced Pediatric Intensive Care RN skilled in managing high-acuity cases within a fast-paced PICU environment. The ideal candidate brings at least 2 years of Pediatric ICU experience and is confident caring for complex pediatric patients with diverse conditions including respiratory distress, trauma (both accidental and non-accidental), DKA, neurosurgical needs, renal failure, transplants, and more. Responsibilities include delivering critical nursing care with proficiency in vasoactive drip titration, invasive line management, ventilator and tracheostomy care, CRRT, medication administration via advanced pumps, and bedside procedures alongside providers. Flexibility to float to related pediatric units such as Pediatric CVICU, NICU, and general pediatrics is required. This role supports pediatric patients needing acute, specialized care and is equipped with advanced technology including EPIC EMR, Artic Sun, Camino devices, and rapid infusion systems. Qualifications and Desired Experience: Valid RN license with current BLS and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications Minimum 2 years of experience in a high-acuity Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Proven expertise in managing complex equipment such as Alaris & Medfusion pumps, arterial lines, and critical care monitoring devices Experience with EPIC electronic medical records preferred Ability to safely and effectively float across pediatric critical care units Strong clinical judgment in fast-paced, multidisciplinary settings Location:Situated in Concord, NC, this position provides exposure to a Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center with a teaching hospital environment recognized for chest pain and stroke certifications.
