Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough physical examinations and medical assessments for infants, children, and adolescents.
  • Diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic pediatric conditions including respiratory infections, gastrointestinal disorders, developmental delays, and chronic illnesses such as asthma and diabetes.
  • Perform routine growth and developmental monitoring, including tracking milestones and identifying deviations.
  • Administer and manage immunization schedules in compliance with national and institutional guidelines.
  • Provide expert care in pediatric emergencies, including resuscitation, trauma, and acute illness management.
  • Deliver high-quality care in NICU and PICU settings, including neonatal stabilization, monitoring, and coordination with neonatologists and critical care teams.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans and ensure continuity of care through follow-up visits and referrals.
  • Offer evidence-based parent counseling on nutrition, behavior, developmental concerns, vaccination, and preventive health strategies.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential patient records in compliance with hospital and regulatory standards.
  • Participate in hospital quality improvement initiatives, morbidity and mortality reviews, and clinical audits.
  • Stay current with advancements in pediatric medicine through continuous professional development and medical literature.

Requirements:

  • MBBS degree with a recognized postgraduate qualification in Pediatrics (DCH or MD in Pediatrics).
  • Valid registration with the National Medical Commission (NMC) and state medical council.
  • Minimum of 1 year of post-graduation clinical experience in a hospital or pediatric care setting.
  • Proven expertise in pediatric diagnosis, growth monitoring, and developmental assessment.
  • Hands-on experience in managing pediatric emergencies and critical care (NICU/PICU exposure preferred).
  • In-depth knowledge of national immunization programs and vaccination protocols.
  • Strong clinical decision-making skills with a patient-first approach.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, particularly in explaining medical information to parents and caregivers.
  • Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems and digital health tools.
  • Commitment to ethical practice, patient safety, and continuous learning.
