Profile: Penetration Tester (Network)

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct vulnerability assessment and penetration testing (VAPT) of network

infrastructure, including network devices, Active Directory network, and

cloud services.

• Utilize various tools and techniques to identify vulnerabilities, including

automated as well as manual testing.

• Conduct hardening reviews as per CIS, STIG, or custom benchmarks for cloud

environments, operating systems, servers and databases.

• Create detailed reports with remediation recommendations.

• Collaborate with client teams to ensure vulnerabilities are properly addressed and

remediated.

• Communicate the business risk to senior management in an easy-to-understand

language.

• Stay informed about new threats, vulnerabilities, and security controls to

protect against them.

Skills Required:

• Well familiar with operating system internals, common network and

application layer protocols, best security practices.

• Good understanding of applications, networks, and their security.

• Proficient and hands-on experience in their vulnerability assessments and

penetration testing (VAPT).

• Testing methodology aligned with OWASP PTES.

• Manual penetration testing skills and techniques besides automated tools and

frameworks.

• Ability to write to Python, Shell, PowerShell scripts for automation.

• Hands-on experience of tools: Nmap, Kali Linux, Metasploit, Qualys VM,

Nessus, OpenVAS, Wireshark, SQLMap, and other standard VAPT tools.

• Basic knowledge of AWS, Azure, and OT Security.

• Excellent analytical and communications skills.

Qualifications:

• B.E./B.Tech. in Computer Science or specialisation in Cyber Security.

• 3-5 years of experience in Network VAPT.

• OSCP, CPTS, CRTO, CRTP, PNPT, CCSK/CCSP (Good to have) or other relevant cerfication
