Role: People Advisor

Experience required: 1–2 years (mandatory Workday experience)

The Opportunity

As a People Advisor within HR Operations / HR Shared Services, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day delivery of HR services, ensuring accurate employee data management, operational excellence, and a positive employee experience. This role is ideal for an early-career HR professional who is detail-oriented, process-driven, and passionate about supporting people.

You will work closely with the Talent team, internal managers, and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver seamless onboarding and offboarding experiences, maintain HR compliance, and ensure the integrity of employee data within Workday (HRIS) . This role also offers exposure to immigration processes, HR policies, and employment legislation, helping you build a strong foundation for a long-term career in HR.

What Your Day Will Look Like

  • Prepare a high volume of offer letters and employment agreements, and support employees through onboarding and offboarding processes

  • Ensure all new starter and leaver requests are logged accurately to notify IT/Desktop Support of employee changes

  • Log, track, and monitor employee background checks in a timely manner (via First Advantage)

  • Own and manage the HR shared mailbox, responding to employee and manager queries and providing accurate guidance

  • Maintain and update Workday (HRIS) records, including new hires, terminations, job changes, compensation updates, reporting line changes, and personal data updates

  • Ensure timely and accurate maintenance of employee personnel files (P-files)

  • Support the monthly payroll process by collecting and validating payroll inputs, reviewing payroll files, and ensuring attendance and employee data accuracy

  • Support the HR Shared Services Lead on key initiatives and projects, including HRIS optimization, policy deployment, audits, and process improvements

  • What You Will Bring to the Role

  • 1–2 years of experience in HR Operations, HR Shared Services.

  • Mandatory hands-on experience with Workday (HRIS) for employee lifecycle management and data maintenance

  • A strong interest in building a career in Human Resources and supporting employees across the organization

  • The ability to take initiative, manage multiple priorities, and deliver timely, high-quality support to stakeholders

  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to handle high volumes of transactions and requests

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • A collaborative, approachable working style with the ability to build trust and effective relationships

  • Experience supporting system implementations and driving continuous process improvements is desirable
