Our client, a leading international tobacco company, is seeking a People Engagement Director in Tokyo, Japan, to lead the cultural transformation within their People & Culture unit. This unique role offers the opportunity to drive culture and engagement strategies, focusing on creating a diverse and inclusive workplace that aligns with the company's mission of a smoke-free future.

Key Responsibilities:




- Lead People Engagement strategies for cultural transformation

- Oversee internal communications and content development

- Analyze employee data to generate insights

- Design and implement Inclusion & Diversity frameworks

- Facilitate and host large-scale company events

- Translate employee insights into engagement initiatives

- Localize global programs for cultural relevance

- Coach leaders on fostering a culture of accountability

Qualifications:




- Experience in culture initiatives in multinational companies

- Strong understanding of Inclusion & Diversity strategies

- Proficiency in digital communication tools

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

- Strong writing skills in both Japanese and English

- Experience leading I&D or Communication functions in large corporates (preferred)

- 5+ years of experience in People & Culture roles

- Ability to facilitate and host large-scale company events

- Experience with employee engagement strategies

- Familiarity with data analysis for employee insights
