Perioperative Support

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Surgical Suite Perioperative Support is an integral member of the Surgical Program and Multidisciplinary team, working in close collaboration with other team members in providing support for the Surgical Suite. Duties to include, but not limited to: transporting of patients; assisting with the positioning and lifting of patients as required; maintaining equipment and reporting need for repairs; transporting, setting up and cleaning of equipment as required; transporting specimens; performing errands to departments; assisting with ordering, receiving and stocking of supplies; replenishing of carts and rooms with supplies; between cleaning of Surgical Suite (as per recommended guidelines); emptying/transporting of garbage and linen; changing of sharps containers; defrosting and cleaning of refrigerators; cleaning of microwaves; ; preparation of soiled case carts for transportation in a timely manner; and other duties and task...
