Job Summary: Rhondda Cynon Taf County Borough Council is seeking a Personal Advisor (14+) to provide short-term maternity cover within Community Services. The role supports young people aged 14+ who are looked after, preparing to leave care or have left care, helping them transition successfully into adulthood. The postholder will deliver advice, guidance and practical support, acting as a key point of contact and advocate for young people. This is a full-time agency role (37 hours per week), inside IR35, requiring flexible and mobile working.

Key Duties/Accountabilities

  • Act as Personal Advisor for young people aged 14+, working alongside social workers and partner agencies.
  • Complete, review and update Pathway Plans, ensuring they are person-centred, outcomes-focused and reviewed at least every six months post-18.
