    Job Description:

  • Operates radiation detection and measurement equipment to capture and record visual representations of radionuclide concentrations in specific body areas.
  • Prepares and administers radiopharmaceuticals to patients as directed by a radiologist.
  • Reviews patient requisitions and charts with the radiologist before starting exams.
  • Explains the nature of tests to patients to ensure compliance and understanding.
  • Monitors contaminated articles and bed linens using a Geiger counter to prevent the spread of radioactivity.
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    • N/A


    Education:

    • Associate [Required]

    • Bachelor's [Preferred]


    Field of Study:

    • Completion of PET/CT training program.


    Work Experience:

    • 1+ years of position-related experience [Required]

    • 2+ years of position-related experience [Preferred]

    • Experience in PET and CT [Preferred]

    Licenses and Certifications:

    • Registered Technologist in Nuclear Medicine Technology (R.T.(N)(ARRT)) [Required] OR 

    • Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) [Required] AND

    • Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]

    • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - Computed Tomography (ARRT-CT) [Preferred]

    Pay Range:

    $27.52 - $51.19
