JOB SUMMARY

The Pharmacist dispenses medications ensuring that the right drug, the right dose, the right directions, the right refills, the right doctor, and the right precautions are indicated on each prescription label. The Pharmacist is an important information resource to patients, providers, and staff and interacts in a courteous, professional manner at all times. The Pharmacist maintains appropriate documentation and meets all state and federal standards.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION

Minimum Required: Bachelor’s or Pharm D degree.

Preferred/Optional: None

EXPERIENCE

Minimum Required: Experience with computer systems.

Preferred/Optional:

  • Knowledge of third party reimbursement plans.
  • Experience in a specialty pharmacy based position.

    • CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES 

    Minimum Required:

  • Pharmacist license awarded by applicable state or eligibility for applicable state pharmacist licensure that must be obtained within three months of hire.
  • Board certification through the Board of Pharmaceutical Specialties within two years’ of hire.
  • Vaccine Administration Certificate: Completion of a course of study and training in administration technique conducted by a course provider approved by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education or the board within one year of hire.
