Job Description
The Pharmacy Technician assists with receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping medications and pharmacy supplies while following pharmacy regulations and company policies.
This position works under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist and requires strong attention to detail, accuracy, and compliance with safety and confidentiality standards (including HIPAA, where applicable).
Key responsibilities
Receive, verify, and store incoming medications and supplies; check quantities, lot numbers, and expiration dates.
Pick and pack medication orders accurately based on prescriptions, work orders, or facility requests.
Label, package, and prepare orders for shipment or delivery following temperature and handling requirements.
Maintain organized and secure inventory locations, including rotating stock and removing expired or damaged products.
