Job Description
The Active Living and Longevity (ALL) Lab led by Dr. Shilpa Dogra at Ontario Tech University is seeking a PhD and Masters student interested in conducting research with older adults who live in long-term care or retirement residences. The research will focus on reducing sedentary behaviour, increasing social engagement, and supporting healthy, active aging. Evidence will be used to inform changes in policies, practices, and programs with one of Canada’s largest housing organizations serving older adults.
Preference will be given to candidates with experience working with older adults, and/or with expertise in physical activity and sedentary behaviour.
Please note, funding is available to support successful applicants through Teaching Assistant roles as well as a Graduate Research Assistantship. Students will also be eligible to apply for the Ontario Graduate Scholarship and for Tri-Council awards.
