About the position
We are looking for a PhD student with a background in computational physics and/or geosciences and a strong interest in machine learning, Earth observation, and numerical modelling for Arctic prediction. The PhD project will develop methods to improve monitoring and prediction of the Arctic environment through multisource data integration, combining modelling with in-situ observations and high-resolution satellite remote sensing.
The work will focus on sea ice and Arctic weather, but will also consider relevant ocean and surface parameters that influence Arctic predictability and air-ice-ocean interactions. A core part of the project w...
