Roles & Responsibilities

Develop, maintain, and optimize backend applications using PHP

Work with frameworks such as Laravel / CodeIgniter (Laravel preferred)

Build and integrate RESTful APIs for web and mobile applications

Design and manage databases using MySQL / PostgreSQL

Collaborate with product, frontend, and QA teams to deliver scalable solutions

Write clean, secure, and well-documented code

Troubleshoot, debug, and improve existing systems

Ensure performance, security, and data protection best practices

✅ Required Skills & Qualifications

Strong proficiency in PHP

Hands-on experience with Laravel (or similar MVC frameworks)

Solid understanding of OOP concepts and MVC architecture

Experience with MySQL, database design, and query optimization

Familiarity with REST APIs, JSON, and third-party integrations

Knowledge of Git / version control systems

Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript

Experience in fintech, expense management, or payment systems is a plus

Good to Have

Experience with payment gateways, banking APIs, or accounting systems

Exposure to AWS / cloud environments

Understanding of security standards (OWASP, data encryption, etc.)

Startup experience or ability to work in a fast-paced environment
