About Tata Electronics:

Tata Electronics (a wholly owned subsidiary of Tata Sons Pvt. Ltd.) is building India’s first AI-enabled state-of-the-art Semiconductor Foundry. This facility will produce chips for applications such as power management IC, display drivers, microcontrollers (MCU) and high-performance computing logic, addressing the growing demand in markets such as automotive, computing and data storage, wireless communications and artificial intelligence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Hands on experience with RTL to GDSII, sign-off & timing closure.
  • Collaborate with customers to understand their design requirements and provide technical support throughout the design phase.
  • Provide support in configuring the design environment by utilizing Foundry-supplied PDKs, design rules, and reference flows.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve design-related issues, while performing comprehensive verification checks to ensure a successful tapeout.
  • Run and debug DRC/LVS, parasitic extraction (PEX), and sign-off checks.
  • Internal collaboration with PDK, IP and CAD teams to feedback customers.


Required skills:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in physical design and implementation.
  • Deep knowledge of design flow with proven tape-out/sign-off experience.
  • Hands-on expertise with EDA tools: Innovus, Synopsys DC/ICC2, Calibre, Primetime,etc.
