Overview

Position Summary Under the direct supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist (PT), the Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) at Dameron Hospital provides physical therapy interventions according to the established Plan of Care. The PTA assists in delivering high-quality therapeutic services to adult and geriatric patients, adhering to Title 22 regulations and all applicable federal, state, and local standards.

Description The PTA is responsible for implementing treatment plans, completing accurate documentation, and communicating patient progress to the supervising PT. This role also includes supporting departmental functions such as program development, quality improvement initiatives, and policy updates. The PTA provides direct patient care and supervision of Physical Therapy support staff (e.g., Rehab Aides), and must demonstrate responsibility, integrity, initiative, and professionalism at all times. This is a non-union position.
