This dedicated team of highly skilled medical oncologists, gynecologic oncologists, radiation oncologists, surgeons, and advanced practice providers who are well known to the Tucson community are partnering with Tucson Medical Center to offer exceptional, comprehensive cancer treatment and support.
Our colorectal, breast, and gynecologic surgeons and oncologists specialize in diagnosing and treating cancers of the colon, rectum, breast, and female reproductive organs. They provide advanced surgical interventions working closely with our multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes and comprehensive support for patients.SUMMARY:
Assists the physicians in the management of patients. Performs diagnostic and therapeutic procedures under the supervision of the physician. Works closely with and assists the physician in providing quality, efficient, ongoing, cost-effective care in-patient, out-patient, and within the designated departmental setting under the direction of the supervising physician.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION: Completion of an approved 2 year physician assistant program.
EXPERIENCE: none required, but experience in oncology is a plus!
LICENSURE OR CERTIFICATION: A current Physician’s Assistant license in state of Arizona and Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and DEA certifications required. Dept Specific: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
