The Alberta Children’s Hospital is a warm and vibrant workplace. The Physiotherapist I, as part of the ACH site wide PT Services, ensures the level of clinical practice on the assigned clinical service area is family/client-centered and meets PT clinical standards of practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide assessment, therapeutic interventions and coordination of care to enable clients to achieve optimum physical function and independence.
• Support patients 0-18 years referred to physiotherapy across ambulatory programs, clinic areas and/or inpatient units.
• Collaborate with patients, families and interdisciplinary team across site-wide clinics, programs and community partners.
• Provide direct treatment, equipment reviews, advocacy, and other interventions as needed.
• Supervise clinical practice of students and assistants.
