We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented P&ID Designer with 3-5 years of experience to develop and maintain Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) and other process design deliverables. The ideal candidate will be proficient in AutoCAD, Plant 3D, and other relevant design software. You will play a key role in project execution, working closely with engineers and designers to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to project standards from the conceptual phase through to commissioning.
**Primary Job Responsibilities:**
+ Draft, develop, and revise Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), and Utility Flow Diagrams (UFDs).
+ Create and modify other related drawings such as Equipment Layouts and Conceptual Piping General Arrangement Drawings (GADs).
+ Utilize intelligent P&ID software (SmartPlant,SPPID, AutoCAD P&ID) to generate accurate diagrams and automated reports, including Line Lists, Valve Lists, Specialty Items Lists, and Instrument Lists.
+ Correct drawings based on redlines and mark-ups from engineers and checking personnel prior to formal submission.
+ Ensure all work is in strict compliance with Company CAD Standards and project-specific coordination procedures.
+ Collaborate effectively with process, mechanical, and instrumentation engineers to ensure design intent is accurately captured and implemented.
+ Work efficiently in a work-share environment, coordinating with the lead office and team members across different project stages.
+ Produce 'As-Built' drawings to reflect the final constructed condition of the plant.
+ Apply technical knowledge to maintain a consistently high standard of quality and technical content in all deliverables.
+ Proactively communicate with supervisors and lead engineers to elevate issues and ensure timely resolutions.
**Qualifications**
+ Diploma in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering (Minimum requirement). Alternatively, a certification as a Mechanical Draftsperson or from a reputed AutoCAD drafting institute.
+ 3-5 years of proven experience in process plant drafting and design, specifically focused on P&IDs.
+ The ideal candidate will be proficient in AutoCAD & Plant 3D.
+ Familiarity with SmartPlant (SPPID) is a valued plus.
+ Experience in Industrial, Chemical, or Oil & Gas manufacturing projects is highly desirable.
+ Strong understanding of P&ID symbology, standards, and best practices.
+ Excellent teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills.
+ A proactive learner, willing to enhance software skills and adapt to new tools as per project requirements.
