PIPEFITTER (VIRTUAL LAYOUT)

Summary You will serve as a PIPEFITTER (VIRTUAL LAYOUT) in the PRODUCTION RESOURCES DEPARTMENT (c900) of PEARL HARBOR NSY AND IMF. Responsibilities You will interpret engineering drawings, Technical Work Documents, sketches, shipboard onsite data and other technical data to determine the best way to manufacture, repair or modify various nuclear and non-nuclear piping systems. You will conduct independent inspections to evaluate existing worksite conditions in order to validate that planned work is executable to achieve engineered objectives. You will apply fundamental engineering concepts to develop complex piping arrangements within specified engineering tolerances. You will perform quality assurance checks of fabricated piping as well as shipboard installation. You will coordinate design drawings and specifications deviation with the appropriate shipyard engineering department.
