Piping Design Engineer

Hiring for Piping design Engineer at Kalpataru Projects International Ltd in the Oil & Gas division.

Job Location: Mumbai- Thane

Experience: Minimum 6+yrs of experience into the similar profile (Oil & Gas exp is a must)

Job roles & responsivities:

- Conversant with P&IDs, Instrument Hook ups & its effect in Piping engineering.

- Piping MTO Activities, for Proposal & Awarded Projects. Taking MTO from P&ID & Plot plan/Model.

- Coordinate Material Take off (MTO) activities, identify irregularities, discrepancies and shortfalls and take corrective action as required.

- Check / Review Material Take off, Piping Layout & Equipment Layout

- Review Engineering Deliverables such as Piping and VMS, Support Standard, Equipment, 3D model (on Navis work Freedom), Insulation, Painting, Heat tracing, Fire Fighting requirement etc.

- Prepare DCI/MCI in coordination with Projects/ Discipline lead.

- Review & Preparation and issue of inquiry requisitions to vendors. Participate in Technical Bid evaluations. Review vendor Drawing, Document. Prepare TQ, TBE and Purchase requisitions.

- Interaction with Engineering/Design/Project Manager, other discipline engineering groups, Client, Vendors, Consultant for Engineering Document, Drawing, MTOs etc. & Resolving any Technical issue.

- Basic Knowledge & Understanding of Stress Analysis of Piping System.

- Review of LOI/POs Item detail, Quantity, Specification.

- Coordinate with procurement and provide necessary assistance to Expediting and Quality Department.

- Assist in Scoping, Costing, Planning new projects for Bidding.

- Knowledge of ASME, ANSI, NACE, OISD, API, TEMA, IEC & FIRE FIGHTING STANDARDs.
