Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Piping Designer with a strong background in Oil & Gas or Petrochemical projects and hands-on expertise in SP3D (Smart Plant 3D). The ideal candidate should have excellent design and drafting capabilities and should be able to work independently on piping layouts and deliverables.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare piping layouts, isometrics, and general arrangement drawings using SP3D.
• Develop 3D models of piping systems, including supports, valves, and fittings.
• Coordinate with piping engineers and other discipline designers for clash detection and design consistency.
• Extract and review material take-offs (MTOs) from SP3D models.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, piping codes, and standards.
• Participate in model review meetings and resolve design clashes using SP3D tools.
• Support in as-built updates and redlining based on site feedback or construction changes.

Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 5 to 10 years of experience in piping design for Oil & Gas or Petrochemical projects.
• Proficient in SP3D (Smart Plant 3D) mandatory.
• Familiar with other design tools such as AutoCAD, MicroStation (added advantage).
• Good understanding of piping components, materials, and fabrication/construction methods.
• Ability to interpret P&IDs, piping specifications, and engineering drawings.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in offshore/onshore O&G projects.
• Exposure to international design standards (ASME, ANSI, API, etc.).
• Knowledge of other 3D modelling tools (PDMS, E3D) is a plus.
