Wood is recruiting for a Scheduler/Planning Engineer to join its Power&Industrial business focusing on a comprehensive range of engineering and project management services within Operations Americas. This opportunity provides a Hybrid work attachment at Madrid office.

The Role


We are looking for a Scheduler/ Planning Engineer to support our Project Control team.


Candidate will be highly motivated, able to work independently, have demonstrable technical knowledge and availability to mobilize to site. 


Among his/ her responsibilities:

  • Development of detailed engineering schedules in conjunction with lead discipline engineers
  • Development of engineering progress measurement systems and reporting of progress and productivity
  • Co-ordination of schedule interfaces between licensors' and subcontractors' activities
  • Provide regular forecasting of project schedule including key milestones
  • Lead regular schedule review meetings with the project team
  • Production of weekly and monthly progress reports to the project management team

  • Expected:

  • Relevant degree / Chartered Engineer or appropriate experience
  • Typically requires a minimum 4 years relevant scheduling/planning experience
  • Demonstrates effective organization & project planning skills
  • Leading skills
  • Uses initiative, experience and a proactive approach to problem solving
  • Commitment to continuous improvement
  • Excellent command of Spanish and English languages
  • Holding a valid permit to live and work in Spain is required
  • Advanced-user level of current MS Office package, . Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
  • Desirable:

  • Experience in steam generator equipment, power plants and clean air technologies.
  • Proficient in managing client interactions and achieving departmental objectives.
