    Reporting to the Portfolio Manager, the Planner will play a key role in the integration of various priorities and perspectives for effective delivery of the region’s works program and optimal utilisation of planning and field resources.

    As the Planner, reporting to the Portfolio Manager, you’ll be the key connection between Field Delivery and the Integrated Works Management Office, driving the coordination and planning of capital and maintenance works across the Region. You’ll bring together diverse priorities and perspectives to ensure the seamless delivery of the Region’s work program. Your expertise will help maximise efficiency, optimise resources, and keep the lights on for communities.

    Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Maintain the region forecast in line with rolling delivery plan, work lists and priorities in conjunction with the Planning and Works Integration team for the respective Region.

  • Provide Region input to the Integrated Works Plan to ensure that operational constraints are accommodated and the timing and allocation of projects are matched against resource availability.

  • Maintain the post-Gate 3 worklist for the Region and prioritise and bundle works for efficient delivery.

  • Maintain, update and interpret data associated with forecast and planning activities.

  • Facilitate the delivery of emergent works from outside the defined capital and maintenance work plans, such as recoverable or ASP related works, secondment requests, monitoring impact to defined plans.

  • Provide and interpret reporting on IWP to enable decision making process.

  • Collaborate with PMs to ensure an appropriate mix of tasks to Works Delivery portfolios to allow optimal utilisation of field and planning resources.

  • Work with the Planning and Works Integration team to improve processes for forecasting and planning work.
  • What you bring to the role


    You’ll bring a proven ability to build strong relationships and work effectively with diverse stakeholders, demonstrating advanced skills in negotiation, influencing, and resolving conflicts in complex situations.

    To be successful, you will have:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or other relevant discipline, or an Advanced Diploma in Electrical Engineering or accredited AQF Level 5 in Project Management, with related industry experience.

  • Class C motor vehicle licence.

  • High level of business knowledge, including an understanding of the distribution and transmission networks and the activities required to construct, maintain and support these networks.

  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in scheduling and planning with the ability to plan and prioritise projects and organise resources with tight deadlines.

  • High level of understanding of contracts with the ability to co-ordinate project resource demands.
