Role Summary

The Planning Manager – Solar is responsible for developing, maintaining, and monitoring project schedules for solar EPC projects. The role ensures that civil, electrical, and module installation activities are aligned and completed as per the approved project timeline.

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Planning & Scheduling

  • Prepare detailed project schedules covering civil foundations, MMS installation, module mounting, electrical works, and commissioning.

  • Develop baseline, look-ahead, and recovery schedules for solar projects.

  • Update schedules based on site progress and identify critical path activities.

  • 2. Progress Monitoring & Reporting

  • Track daily, weekly, and monthly progress of all project activities.

  • Analyze delays, productivity gaps, and material constraints affecting project timelines.

  • Prepare progress reports, dashboards, and S-curves for project management and clients.

  • 3. Coordination with Site & EPC Teams

  • Coordinate with civil, electrical, procurement, and construction teams to ensure schedule adherence.

  • Align material delivery plans with site execution schedules.

  • 4. Schedule Risk & Delay Analysis

  • Identify schedule risks and support recovery planning.

  • Assist in preparing extension of time (EOT) claims and delay analysis.

  • 5. Tools & Systems

  • Maintain schedules in Primavera P6 or MS Project.

  • Ensure accurate data input and progress updates.

  • Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Civil / Electrical / Mechanical).

  • 6–9 years of experience in project planning for solar or renewable EPC projects.
