The Planning Engineer is responsible for preparing, monitoring, and updating project schedules, progress reports, and forecasts to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with contract requirements.
Job Scope
Develop, monitor, and update project schedules using planning software (e.g., Primavera).
Coordinate with project managers, engineers, procurement, and site teams to gather relevant data for planning and progress tracking.
Prepare progress reports, manpower histograms, resource allocation charts, and project status presentations.
Identify potential delays or risks and propose mitigation strategies.
Ensure project timelines are aligned with contractual milestones and client requirements.
Assist in preparing extension-of-time (EOT) claims, delay analysis, and recovery schedules if required.
Monitor procurement, subcontractor schedules, and interface activities.
