Job Description

1. Project Planning & Scheduling

  • Develop detailed project schedules for solar EPC projects covering civil works, module mounting, electrical installation, and commissioning.

  • Prepare baseline schedules, look-ahead plans, and recovery schedules in line with project milestones.

  • Ensure schedules are aligned with contract requirements and client delivery timelines.

  • 2. Progress Monitoring & Control

  • Track daily, weekly, and monthly progress of all project activities against the approved schedule.

  • Analyze delays, slippages, and productivity issues and prepare mitigation and recovery plans.

  • Highlight critical path activities and potential risks to project completion.

  • 3. Coordination with Site & Engineering Teams

  • Work closely with civil, electrical, procurement, and construction teams to ensure schedule feasibility and execution alignment.

  • Integrate civil foundation readiness, tracker/MMS installation, and electrical works into one master project plan.

  • 4. Reporting & Management Dashboards

  • Prepare and present progress reports, S-curves, histograms, and dashboards to project management and clients.

  • Provide accurate forecasts for project completion, manpower deployment, and equipment requirements.

  • 5. Interface with Procurement & Logistics

  • Coordinate with procurement teams to ensure timely delivery of modules, structures, inverters, transformers, and BOS materials.

  • Align material arrival schedules with site installation plans to avoid idle time or site congestion.

  • 6. Change & Risk Management

  • Analyze impact of design changes, scope variations, and site constraints on project schedules.

  • Support claims, extensions of time (EOT), and variation submissions with schedule analysis.

  • 7. Tools & Systems

  • Use Primavera P6 / MS Project to develop and control project schedules.

  • Maintain accurate progress updates, productivity norms, and forecast reports.

  • Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Civil / Electrical / Mechanical).

  • 8–13 years of experience in project planning for Solar EPC or Renewable Energy projects.
